Mama's down for the count

So a minor bunion surgery turned into a big foot surgery and I am laid up of 9 weeks! I am 1 week in and am finally feeling a bit better. The first 7 days were ones that I hope to forget! I'm spending a lot of time relaxing while Grandmas & Grandpas help pick up the slack! I have been showered with food and flowers from friends and couldn't be more thankful! I'll keep ya posted on my status!

Winter 2008/2009

We had a great Christmas and new years. We spent Christmas with my folks and Scott & Alicia. The kids had a great time. We had a white Christmas, not typical in the pacific northwest, but we enjoyed it. Scott and Alicia got engaged a few days after Christmas so we are looking forward to a August wedding.

Thanksgiving 2008

We had a slumber party at our place this year for thanksgiving. We had my brother Scott and his girlfriend Alicia and my parents come to stay for a few days. The kids love having people stay over at our place, they typically give our guests a early morning wake up call by barging in the door and shining a flashlight in their eyes!

First day of pre-school!!

Grace had a great first day of school. She is going 2 days a week and loves it. I was worried that I would be sad when I drove away from the school, but I was actually just very proud of her!

white water rafting - moms gone wild!

I went white water rafting with 4 girlfriends and we had an amazing time. I felt like a kid again, major adrenalin rush! It was by far the best "moms day off" in a long time. We jumped off of a 40 foot bridge during the trip, what a rush. It was a great day full of good times and good friends.

Montana or bust

We packed up and headed east to Montana for a "Grizwald style roadtrip" vacation! We enjoyed our selves and the kids really enjoyed time with their cousins. Glad to be home in WA, but always have fun in MT.
